■ Areas of Responsibility for Mr. Chris
As part of my role, I collaborate with coaches from various universities to promote and expand the use of
technologies, including SPLYZA Motion, for biomechanics analysis in sports.
Through these efforts, my goal is to help athletes and coaches I work with gain a deeper understanding of
biomechanics analysis and integrate it into their sports practices. Among these initiatives, I have utilized
SPLYZA Motion to conduct detailed studies of specific movements in the discus throw and rotational shot
put.
■ Decision factor for implementing SPLYZA Motion
SPLYZA Motion offers a wide range of features, but among them, the 3D motion capture capability stands out
as groundbreaking for conveying analysis results to athletes and coaches. Not only does it allow me to share
the knowledge I've gained with young athletes, but it also enables me to leverage 3D motion capture to
analyze their performance by comparing them with elite athletes, even if they are amateurs.
The dual-screen comparison feature is also highly practical. For instance, it can be used to clearly analyze
the required force vectors in the same direction, focusing on acceleration, velocity, and their correlating
factors (e.g., shin angles). If acceleration (the peak at the vertex) stops before the speed of the
instrument in the hand (the vertex at release), it becomes possible to identify what caused the change in
that vector.
■ Actual use of SPLYZA Motion
One example of using SPLYZA Motion comes from a collaborative video analysis session with the coach of Mya
Lesnar, a thrower from Colorado State University. Mya is the current NCAA Women's Indoor Shot Put Champion,
with a personal best of 19.10M. After receiving feedback via SPLYZA Motion, her coach made adjustments
during the following day's training session. As a result, Mya achieved distances that exceeded her previous
best competition throw.

This is just one instance. I aim to leverage this application to assist other athletes who may be
experiencing plateaus, helping them achieve significant growth in their athletic performance.
■ Effects after introducing SPLYZA Motion
By implementing SPLYZA Motion, athletes can easily distinguish "what works and what doesn't." This saves a
significant amount of time previously spent on analysis.
Additionally, the application helps coaches learn "what to look for" and "how to view things from a
different perspective," making it a valuable tool for them as well.
